My holiday start’s on the Christmas party at school it’s fun we had a program, game, and we eat together.Christmas holidays isn’t that bad for me other family members saying that there Christmas is not good because they spend money but don’t think that Christmas about money it’s about love and happiness,On Dec 22 we picked up our relatives in the airport and we went to the mall to shopping clothes and etc. And christmas was a mix of relaxation and family time. On Christmas Eve, I helped my parents decorate the house, hanging up lights and setting out the stockings. We had a cozy dinner with homemade lasagna and garlic bread, and after that, we watched Christmas movies by the fireplace, sipping hot chocolate. it’s the best day ever besides i can bond with my cousins and have fun, On Christmas morning, I woke up early to the smell of cinnamon rolls baking. We exchanged gifts, and I was so grateful for the thoughtful presents I received. Afterward, we had a big breakfast and...

Reflection

Image
For me this  term in ICT class has been a great experience. We spent a lot of time working on HTML typing, which at first felt a bit challenging, but as we went along, it became really rewarding. I learned how websites are built from scratch using simple tags and how every small detail, like a single missing symbol, can make a huge difference. One thing I realized is how important it is to focus and be patient. There were moments when things didn’t work as expected, but troubleshooting and figuring out the problem was surprisingly satisfying. It felt like solving a puzzle. Overall, I’ve grown more confident in using technology, and this class showed me how much effort goes into creating even the simplest web pages. I’m excited to keep learning and see how these skills can be used real-life projects. I’ll always cramm for my exer’s beacuse sometimes I’m absent or my hands was very slow and my eyes can’t see the other wrong words but it’s fun typing and i have new ideas for computer ...

Indigenous People Month

Image
The  October is a special time in the Philippines, where we come together to celebrate and reflect on the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of Indigenous peoples. This year, Indigenous Peoples Month, which runs from October 1 to 30, is particularly meaningful as it marks the 27th anniversary of the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act (IPRA), a landmark law that has been a beacon of hope for many Indigenous communities. With the theme  "Mga Katutubo at Katutubong Dunong: Pahalagahan, Pangalagaan at Parangalana"  (Valuing, Nurturing, and Honoring Indigenous Peoples and Indigenous Knowledge), the month serves as a reminder of how vital it is to protect not only the rights of Indigenous peoples but also their invaluable knowledge and cultural practices. Protecting Rights and Celebrating Culture Indigenous Peoples Month is more than just a celebration—it's a call to action. It's a time for all of us to pause and think about the struggles and resilience of Indigenous...

Elpidio Quirino’s life

Image
The Legacy of Strength and Compassion🎀 The best Elpidio Quirino’s life was one of service, sacrifice, and leadership. From a young man with little more than a strong work ethic and a vision for the future, he rose to become a pivotal figure in the history of the Philippines. His achievements, particularly in post-war reconstruction and economic self-sufficiency, continue to resonate today. Quirino’s story reminds us of the importance of leadership that is both compassionate and forward-thinking, grounded in the desire to create a better, more just society for all of people. Quirono lasted until 1953, but his legacy continues to be felt. His efforts to rebuild the country after the war and his commitment to social justice helped set the stage for a new era in Philippine politics. He was a man who saw beyond the immediate challenges and worked toward a vision of a stronger, more independent nation. However, like all leaders, Quirino’s tenure was not without controversy. His close ties w...

Tackling Violence Against Women The Violence Against Women (VAW) remains a significant and pervasive issue not only in the Philippines but globally. With 1 in 3 women worldwide affected by violence, and nearly 1 in 5 women in the Philippines reporting emotional, physical, or sexual abuse from intimate partners (according to the 2022 National Demographic and Health Survey), addressing this issue has become critical. The Philippine government has enacted several laws to protect women and children from violence, providing legal recourse and promoting awareness. This blog post will focus on two important pieces of legislation:  Republic Act No. 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997)  and  Republic Act No. 7877 (The Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995) , which have played crucial roles in safeguarding women’s rights and dignity. Republic Act No. 8353: The Anti-Rape Law of 1997 The first law that one of the most significant legal milestones in the Philippines' efforts to protect women...

Climate Change

Image
People was   Facing Environmental Challenges The Climate change is one of the most pressing global issues of our time, and the Philippines stands at the forefront of this challenge. With its archipelagic geography, vulnerable coastal areas, and high population density, the country faces a disproportionate impact from environmental changes such as rising sea levels, stronger typhoons, and extreme weather patterns. In recent years, Filipinos have witnessed firsthand how climate change can disrupt lives, destroy livelihoods, and increase poverty. As the planet warms, natural disasters are becoming more frequent and severe, disproportionately affecting low-income communities and those living in coastal regions One of the most significant environmental threats posed by climate change is the increase in the intensity of typhoons. The Philippines experiences an average of 20 typhoons every year, many of which cause widespread damage to infrastructu...
